Day 1 - 80 Kms
Welcome to New Delhi, the excitingly busy and buzzing capital of India. Travel conveniently from the start, choose for your VAYU chauffeur to pick you from the airport or meet him at your hotel. Your VAYU chauffeur is at your service through the day, feel free to start exploring the capital at your pace.
Day 2 - 80 Kms
Continuously inhabited since 6 BCE, Delhi's rich history can be experienced through its beautiful historical monuments which tell the saga of a bygone era. Take in the sights, go shopping for Indian handicrafts or tickle your taste buds with some authentic North Indian dishes. Travel the city with ease as your VAYU chauffeur steers you to places you want to go. Suggested Activities: Visit one of Delhi's UNESCO World Heritage Sites - Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb or Red Fort. Shop for Indian handicrafts at Dilli Haat, an open-air food plaza and craft bazaar. Explore Old Delhi on a cycle rickshaw.
Day 3 - 270 Kms
Delhi to Shekhawati
Your journey to the 'Land of Kings', Rajasthan, begins today. After breakfast, proceed to Shekhawati, the land where frescoes ( a technique of mural painting) were initially introduced by Shekhawat Rajputs in their Forts & Palaces. This region has been recognised as the "open art gallery of Rajasthan" having the largest concentration of frescoes in the world. Suggested Activities: Visit Shekhawati's many Havelis, Forts and Castles.
Day 4 - 200 Kms
Shekhawati to Bikaner
Travel for around 4 hours this morning and settle down in your hotel in Bikaner. Home to one of the finest forts in Rajasthan, Bikaner's Junagarh Fort mixes military architecture with ornately decorated interiors. An unassailable fortress, which has never been conquered. Suggested Activities: Visit Junagarh Fort, Laxmi Niwas Palace Visit Karni Mata Temple.
Day 5 - 330 Kms
Bikaner to Jaisalmer
After breakfast, a 6-hour drive through the expanse of the Thar desert (seventh largest desert in the world) transports you to 'The Golden City of India', Jaisalmer. The city's most prominent tourist attraction, Jaisalmer Fort, is unlike any other fort in India as it houses shops, hotels and havelis that continue to be occupied to this day. Suggested Activities: En route visit of Fort Pokaran Visit Jaisalmer Fort and Gadisar Lake.
Day 6 - 80 Kms
You have not really seen Rajasthan until you travel via the ship of the desert, the camel. Jaisalmer is an impressive fusion of luxury, comfort and adventure. Take a day long camel tour or camp out amidst the sand dunes. You do not want to miss out on the outdoor experience that is Jaisalmer. Suggested Activities: Camel Tour, Desert Camping Visit Royal Cenotaphs.
Day 7 - 290 Kms
Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Our next stop in the land of kings is Jodhpur. Befittingly called the 'Blue City', most of the architecture - forts, palaces, temples and havelis are coloured in different hues of blue. Famous for its beautiful historic buildings and scenic landscapes, even Christopher Nolan could not escape this city's charm (parts of the movie The Dark Knight Rises were shot here). Suggested Activities: Visit Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal and Clock Tower.
Day 8 - 80 Kms
Do not bid adieu to this heritage city without your share of shopping. Jodhpur is known for its flashy fabrics and shoes, antique handicrafts and traditional jewellery. Embrace your inner shopaholic at the local markets like - Mochi Bazaar, Karpaa Bazaar and Clock Tower market. Pack your bags with more than just memorabilia. Suggested Activities: Visit the local markets and bazaars. Participate in Amal Sabha, a traditional Opium Ceremony and the Mandore Gardens.
Day 9 - 275 Kms
Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur
Saying goodbye to the blues as we travel for Udaipur in the morning. Leaving the Thar Desert behind and enter through the beautiful, lush green Aravalli Hills. Known as the 'Venice of the East', Udaipur is rated among the most beautiful & romantic cities of India. Suggested Activities: En-route visit Ranakpur Jain Temples. Boat ride on Lake Pichola. Visit Shilpgram - a rural arts and crafts complex.
Day 10 - 80 Kms
The picturesque City Palace and Monsoon Palace (Sajjan Garh) are architectural marvels that add to the beauty and grandeur of the city. You might also want to visit Saheliyon Ki Bari ('The Garden of Maidens' ), a majestic garden located in one of the shores of Fateh Sagar Lake. A visit to the school of miniature paintings is a must. Udaipur is famous for its traditional miniature paintings, which are mural-like paintings mostly depicting incidents from Rajput and Mughal history and legends and stories from the Hindu Puranas. Suggested Activities: Visit City Palace and the Monsoon Palace. Check out the school of Miniature Paintings and attend a traditional puppet show at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal.
Day 11 - 300 Kms
Udaipur to Bundi
A peaceful haven away from the bustle and the crowds of big towns and cities, Bundi is a quaint rural countryside surrounded by orchards of orange, guava and mango trees. Unlike other cities of the dry desert state, Bundi has been blessed by the waters of River Chambal and a river safari is a must when visiting. Suggested Activities: River Chambal Safari and Sukh Mahal (Place where Rudyard Kipling wrote 'Kim'). Checkout Taragarh Fort.
Day 12 - 210 Kms
Bundi to Jaipur
A popular tourist destination, Jaipur forms a part of the much travelled Golden Triangle. An emerging metropolis amidst a backdrop of ancient history, the 'Pink City' has become famous for performing arts and literature world over, hosting the world's largest free literature festival that draws thousands each year. Complete the day with a light and sound show at Jaipur's famous Amber fort. Suggested Activities: Visit Amber Fort and a photo stop at Hawa Mahal.
Day 13 - 80 Kms
Acquaint yourself with the Pink City today. Once you have covered the major attractions in Jaipur indulge in local shopping at Johri Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar that are famous for authentic Jaipur jewellery, clothes and footwear. Day 14 - 170 Kms
Jaipur to Ranthambore
Enjoy your breakfast and make way to a land of hills, meadows, lakes and the elusive Indian tiger. Once a private game reserve for the royal house of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1957. A wildlife enthusiast and photographer's dream, Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the world's best-known wildlife sanctuaries. Spend the day in the calm of the forests and admire the romance of history and nature. Suggested Activities: Visit Ranthambore Fort and go on a Wildlife Safari.
Day 15 - 80 Kms
You will want to be a part of the various wildlife safaris available at Ranthambore. Apart from tiger spotting, Ranthambore is home to sloth bears, leopards, jackals and an incredible variety of birds. A sublime experience for naturalists and tourists alike, you are bound to fall in love with Ranthambore.
Day 16 - 300 Kms
Ranthambore to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri
Post breakfast, depart for Agra in the comfort of your car as your VAYU chauffeur steers you to the final destination on your North Indian jaunt. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient city built by Mughal Emperor Akbar as a capital of the Mughal Dynasty in the 16th century, also known as ghost city when it was abandoned by Akbar. After your check in at your hotel in Agra, visit the famous and majestic Red Fort, followed by the romantic Taj Mahal at sunset.
Day 17 - 240 Kms
Agra to Delhi
All roads lead back to the capital. Spend your last day taking in the best that New Delhi has to offer. We recommend taking a leisurely stroll in Lodhi Garden followed by a visit to Humayun's Tomb. In the evening explore the ancient village of Hauz Khas, Delhi's own fashion and art address. Suggested Activities: Visit Khan Market and Purana Qila.
Day 18 - 80 Kms
Alas, all good things must come to an end. There are no activities planned for the final day and you’re able to depart your accommodation at any time. We would be more than happy to escort your around New Delhi if you wish to stay a few days longer.
